Simon Penning

Simon is an associate in the New Orleans office and practices in the areas of insurance coverage and insurance defense. 

About

Prior to joining the firm, Simon was employed as an Assistant City Solicitor and Assistant State’s Attorney in the City of Baltimore. While there, he represented the city in zoning, housing, and other real estate matters, and prosecuted property related crimes. 

 

Simon attended Tufts University and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Economics. He received his Juris Doctorate from Maryland Law School. During his tenure at Maryland, Simon was a teaching assistant for Oscar S. Gray, and served as treasurer of the Student Bar Association and as president of the Environmental Law Society.  

 

During Law School, Simon clerked for the Honorable Barry G. Williams in the Circuit Court of Baltimore City and was an honors fellow at the Environmental Protection Agency.
