Representative Matters

  • The firm’s attorneys have represented thousands of corporate and individual defendants in lawsuits arising from a variety of casualty losses, exposure to benzene, or exposure to asbestos, striving to bring each claim to closure as efficiently and effectively as possible.

  • Orleans Sheet Metal Roofing Corp. v. Entergy Louisiana (Civil District Court, State of Louisiana). Firm attorneys successfully defended a contractor against claims by a utility company and the plaintiff who had suffered debilitating injuries from an electric shock. The contractor was alleged to have allowed the employee to work near a power line without appropriate clearance or notice to the utility.

  • Representation of an RV dealership in defense of wrongful death claim brought by estate of owner electrocuted while working on the RV.

  • Representation of a hotel owner in defense of five lawsuits arising from the electric shock of multiple individuals working on a scaffolding during a hotel renovation project.

  • Duvio v. Specialty Pools Co., 15-0243 (La. App. 4 Cir. 6/06/16), 216 So. 3d 999. Firm attorneys tried and won a jury trial in St. Bernard Parish concerning the faulty installation of a swimming pool. The firm’s attorneys convinced the Court of Appeal to affirm the jury’s verdict.

  • Williams v. Syngenta Corp., No. 15-644, 2016 WL 807762 (M.D. Mar. 3, 2016). In this wrongful death case, our attorneys obtained full dismissal of a contractor alleged to have allowed exposure to glyphosate that caused non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

  • Perkins v. Pel Hughes Printing, L.L.C., No. 17-6689, 2018 WL 6345492 (E.D. La. Dec. 3. 2018). Our attorneys obtained summary judgment against dismissing all of plaintiff ’s employment discrimination and negligence claims.

  • Dominion Exploration & Production v. Cordoaria Sao Leopoldo, S.A., No. 07-9492 (E.D. La.) The firm successfully defended a rope manufacturer against claims that its allegedly defective rope caused an off-shore drilling rig to have more than one-month of downtime ($40 million loss). The case settled on confidential terms after motion practice.
