Pipes Miles Beckman is excited to “adopt” Wednesdays in April to assist with the Pro Bono Project’s Adopt-a-Month initiative at the New Orleans Civil District Court Help Desk.

The Pro Bono Project serves six parishes in Louisiana by finding lawyers willing to donate their time and legal experience to help underserved citizens resolve civil legal problems. These citizens include low-income families, individuals, and the elderly in need, and issues can range from family law matters to property questions and estate planning, and much more. The organization relies on “lawyers in the six-parish area surrounding New Orleans who consider it their professional responsibility to serve their communities.”

Pipes Miles Beckman attorneys will work the CDC’s Help Desk each Wednesday in April. The help desk offers court-approved forms and legal information to self-represented litigants in domestic matters. The Self-Help Resource Center does not provide legal advice or representation but can provide referral resources for those seeking it.
